For those who are in a more humid area, it would be best to ask from a local music store if humidifiers are needed to be used in your area. The effect of having too much moisture in the guitar is also not good. It will cause the guitar to be too wet and prone to mold and other damages. Just remember that anything that is too much is not good. This also applies with the taking care of a guitar.
